The Nato Advanced Study Institute on "Computer Design Aids for VLSI Circuits" was held from July 21 to August 1, at Sogesta, Urbino, Italy. Sixty-three carefully chosen profes sionals were invited to participate in this institute together with 12 lecturers and 7 assistants.
Steven M. Rubin is the author of the Electric VLSI Design System, which is featured in this book. He received his doctorate at Carnegie Mellon University and has done research at Bell Labs, Schlumberger, Apple, and Interval. He currently works at Sun Microsystems : Steven M.
